Future Living Q&A
What is Future Living?
Future Living is a dynamic, international research and peer-learning project exploring the fast-growing serviced living sector – covering student housing, co-living, aparthotels, serviced apartments, branded residences and senior living.
It started in May 2022 and brought together leading companies to understand market trends, share insights, and prepare for what’s next in real estate.
Each research phase runs for 2 years. Currently in phase II, a third phase will start in June 2026.
Why should I participate?
Because change is happening fast. Serviced living is one of the most dynamic growth areas in real estate. Participation gives you early foresight, access to targeted research, and the chance to learn with a trusted peer group tackling similar challenges and opportunities.
What will I gain from it?
You’ll gain:
- Exclusive insights into global market shifts, design innovation, and business models.
- Case studies and practical strategies for your own portfolio.
- Access to a curated network of senior decision-makers.
- A space for exchange and inspiration beyond your day-to-day business.
What do you actually do in the project?
Each two year phase combines group in-person and online interaction and curated research:
Highlights include:
2x in-person 3 day meetings and 2x online sessions per year
- Site visits of serviced living buildings and developments.
- Interactive workshops and peer sessions with senior level participants.
- Talks from local subject matter experts.
- Case explorations of pioneering projects worldwide.
- Tailored deliverables you can use inside your business.
Why is it relevant to me?
If your business touches any part of living, hospitality, real estate, or investment, this project gives you a forward-looking perspective on where the market is heading. From ESG and technology to changing consumer behavior, Future Living helps you anticipate what’s coming rather than react after the fact.
Who else participates?
Previous phases have brought together leading operators, developers, investors, architects, and service providers across Europe and beyond. The peer group is carefully curated to ensure quality of exchange and confidentiality.
When does it start and how long does it run?
phase III starts in June 2026 and runs for 24 months, structured around a series of interactive sessions and curated research.
How much does it cost to participate?
Participation is structured as an annual membership fee that covers research, facilitation, and meeting participation. More details can be provided on application.
